Gate valves are used in the following applications: oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, urea/fertilizer industry.

Commonly encountered types of medium for gate valves are: acetic acid, steam oil, brackish water, sour service (H2S), hydrocarbon gas, and sulphuric ccid.

Our standard gate valves are available in both forged and cast exotic materials, with short delivery times.

Gate Valves

Gate valves are ideally used to stop, allow, or throttle the flow of a process fluid and ideally suited for on-off, primarily liquid, service. The Red Point gate valves can be designed with a rising or nonrising stem design. Gate valves are designed with a Low emmision sealing unit to provide a tight seal around the stem.

The gate valve is an outside-screw-and-yoke, full bore with flexible wedge and rising or non-rising stem. Gate valves are used to shut off the flow of fluid by inserting a rectangular gate or wedge into the path of a flowing fluid. Gate valves require very little space along the pipe axis and hardly restrict the flow of fluid when the gate is fully opened enabling gate valves to offer straightway flow with very little pressure drop. Gate valves are bi-directional valves and can provide shut-off in either flow direction.

Hard Facing

Wedge and seats are ground and lapped to a mirror finish and tightly guided to prevent dragging and seat damage.
Body and bonnet joint accurately machined with high surface finish stem and packing chamber.
Low emission valve technology with a design optimized for extended service life.
Low compression packing reduces friction and allows more room to re-torque in the field.
Packing ring construction for excellent sealing and a corrosion inhibitor.

Lantern ring with double packing (upper & lower) for critical services
