THE HILLER® STORY
Founded by Ralph A. Hiller in 1950 as a distributor for multiple fluid power products, Hiller® designed its first actuation products in 1962 and began supply to the nuclear power industry in 1966.
Hiller® has its roots firmly based in Pennsylvania, USA — originally established in Pittsburgh, the facility moved to Export in 1992, and to McKeesport in 2018. However, as part of Trillium Flow Technologies™, the brand has customers across the globe.
In 1972, the brand’s Main Steam Isolation Valve (MSIV) actuator was successfully tested by the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEEE). Further testing for the 38-inch MSIV actuator followed in 1976.
In the 2000s, Hiller® achieved qualifications for its Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) and NGC and NGP product ranges.
Hiller® joined our family of legacy brands in 2018.
Today, the Hiller® brand is led by Managing Director Steven Brayley.
